This is a low intensity conflict and liberals are just letting themselves lose the first phase of the civil war.

University students and unions are joining French high-school students in the streets to stand up to the government that is immiserating them and the police who are attempting to suppress them.

All around the world, we see the same austerity measures and state violence.

some standout snippets, to give you the flavor: "together, we can become small clearings in the machinery of exhaustion" - berit fischer and this lovely and thoughtful segment from chris time steele's piece "the inch worm wiggles"

There was a grass fire in the field near my house recently, the flames tore through as fire workers
came with hoses then hacked at the soggy embers for hours. That's how collapse comes, like
watching an avalanche from far away until you realize it's too close to escape now. I thought
about how some pinecones activate to create new life when they reach high forest fire
temperatures and how new soil would come from the fire. What are we making room for, when
will our pinecones reach their temperature of rupture and new futures?
I had a dream about an inch worm recently, should that be a 2.54-centimeter worm? It was
crawling in my house then I took it outside. When I went back inside there were more and more.
The pineal gland helps balance the sleep cycle and produces melatonin. Many spiritualities
consider the pineal gland the third eye and use symbolism as the pinecone for the gland. As it
gets hotter will our pinecones continue to awaken with solidarity, militancy, humor, and
compassion?
Perhaps my dream was not to take metamorphosis outside but to stick with it. If a butterfly’s
chrysalis is cut open it won't be able to fly. The newly formed wings need the violent struggle and
the poetic wiggle to burst free and be ready to fly into their transformed present.

i recently sent more zines to the excellent Antiquated Future zine distro, and noticed this amazingly nice review they wrote about my zine on italian-american mutual aid societies...

"Tim Devin is arguably the most dedicated researcher working in zines right now, and his series of radical history zines are testaments to what's possible in the zine form. Mutuo Soccorso! is a highly accessible tome that—like all of his work—looks at the Boston area as both a place with its own complex history, and as a microcosm of the country as a whole."
