relearning stuff is easier than learning it but its a lot. getting used to using all the tools, knowing how to navigate my reference library, being able to eyeball when proportions are off or realizing a pose is just wrong at the macro level. But remember that I'm very powerful

Everyday there are new battles waiting to join the ones that will never be closed. The only option is to ration that resolve and know when to take a breather. Giving up on any of them is never an option, but sometimes standing ground is as worthwhile as stepping forward.

sometimes I feel complacent cause I've suddenly found myself in so much more comfort with myself and having a partnership that feels incredibly strong that I'm not pushing myself enough and it hurts. But I think I've widened the skill tree so to speak, so I'm fighting in more directions than before

I know because I've been on both sides of that dichotomy with my transition at various points. You can't let the brain demon win. It's wrong. If you don't like who you are, figure out how to get better. If you keep trying in good faith every single day, it will work eventually, I promise.

Something I want to add is you're going to get out of it what you put into it. Believe you're going to become everything you ever wanted to be and work for that outcome every day? That's what you'll get. Believe it's not possible and you don't have it in you? That self-fulfilling prophecy works too.
