Every single vote counts. Early voting begins in North Carolina on October 15th. Make a plan to vote now.

It was an honor to join @NCLifeSci to discuss the future of life sciences in the Triangle. I’m honored to represent so many businesses and organizations that are innovating across the life sciences sector. Investing in biosciences is an investment in North Carolina’s people and our future.

I'm proud to have earned an A from Defend the Vote for my record of protecting voting rights, fighting corruption, + defending election integrity. Voting is our most fundamental right, and the Trump Administration is still trying to disenfranchise voters. I will fight to ensure every vote counts.

Starting Jan 1, Trump's new work requirements for Medicaid go into effect, jeopardizing coverage for thousands of North Carolinians + raising healthcare premiums across the board. I held a roundtable with policymakers + providers to discuss what's at risk and what those with Medicaid should know.

In 2024, Republicans spent months trying to overturn the fair election of NC Justice Allison Riggs. Justice Riggs joined our shadow hearing to speak about their attempts at election interference.

Happy Bike, Walk, and Roll to School Day! It was great to join students and families this morning to support safe, active, and fun ways to get to school.

Today and every day, we stand with the Jewish community in mourning the lives lost and condemning the surge in antisemitism that has erupted in the wake of this tragedy. 3/3

It is a devastating and complex day for Jewish Americans—and all Americans—as we navigate the ongoing humanitarian aftermath and the expanding conflict in the Middle East. 2/3

Three years ago, Hamas committed the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust, killing nearly 1,200 Israelis and taking 251 more hostage—including several Americans. 1/3

North Carolina is no stranger to attacks on election integrity, and the state legislature is still trying to rig the rules. We will remain diligent and ensure that North Carolinians are guaranteed fair and equal access to the ballot box.

Survivors deserve better than political games.

While the Trump Administration has abandoned survivors of sexual assault with its cuts to Title IX, in Congress, I’m working with my female colleagues to address gender-based violence and deliver justice to survivors.

The Supreme Court's new term begins today, and the cases before the court could fundamentally change the law on immigration, guns, religion and more. I will be monitoring these decisions closely and will share how they may impact you and your freedoms. Read more about what’s on the docket:

Trump knows he can’t win a fair fight. That’s why he’s trying to insert as much uncertainty as possible into our elections before November. We will not let him get away with it.

For Hunger Action Day, I visited the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, which has provided hunger relief across our community for 45 years. Amid a cost-of-living crisis and cuts to SNAP benefits, it's essential that North Carolina families have access to immediate food assistance.

Voting is a fundamental right, and we will work to ensure that every North Carolinian who is eligible to vote can make their voice heard.

Today, @morelle.house.gov, @foushee.house.gov, and I hosted a shadow hearing on election security, where we spoke with voting rights experts about recent efforts to interfere with elections in NC and across the country.

At 10 AM, I am hosting a shadow hearing in Raleigh examining election security w/ @RepJoeMorelle + @ValerieFoushee, featuring NC Justice Allison Riggs. We’ll hear from experts about election interference and recent efforts to restrict voting access. And, we will share information on secure voting.

We saw the tragic effects of misinformation during Hurricane Helene—people across Western NC died because of it. I met with experts working to ensure North Carolinians get the resources and information they need. We must stay vigilant and prepare for the next storm.

@ross.house.govSep 24, 2026, 8:06 PM

A non-partisan report found that the Trump admin delayed disaster-proofing efforts that could help prevent the worst effects of disasters like Helene—with no real justification. This is a slap in the face to communities in North Carolina and all over the country.
