NEW EPISODE! 🚨 @barrettsbooks.bsky.social joins me to discuss the #StarTrek Enterprise season 2 episodes Future Tense, Canamar, The Crossing, Judgment, and Horizon. One great ep, one good ep, and 3 ok(ish) eps. Which is which? Listen and find out!
It's always a pleasure to join Alex on WeeklyTrek!
Richard Sarstedt 10/10 leg acting hahaha
And episode 2 is pretty good too!!!!
Check it out if you’re late to the party on this one! The best new #StarTrek podcast to debut in the last few years and the highlight of my biweekly Thursdays moving forward.
The best way to celebrate today’s 25th anniversary of #StarTrek Enterprise’s premiere on UPN in the US is not just to watch Broken Bow - it’s to listen to episode 1 of Warp Factor 5 where @trekranks.com and I fondly discuss the show’s launch and first 5 episodes!
That is a great fight scene between Trip and Zo'Kaan in Dawn!
I am SUCH a sucker for a good montage. Love it!
Love Archer yelling at the Vulcan scientists in Stigma! You tell 'em, Jonny!
Loved chatting with Alex about this run of five #StarTrek Enterprise episodes, even (especially) the hot mess that is “Precious Cargo”!
Thank you so much, Melanie! I really appreciate you reading!
NEW EPISODE! 🚨 @eatatquarks.bsky.social returns to Warp Factor 5 to discuss #StarTrek Enterprise season 2’s low point “Precious Cargo” and then we hit a bit of an upswing with The Catwalk, Dawn, Stigma and Cease Fire.
#StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds ends its fourth season with “Tomorrow’s Enterprise,” a classically Star Trek-y time travel episode that felt pretty fresh. With great performances from Celia Rose Gooding and the cast, it’s a strong close.
My review:
Always a pleasure to actively derail an episode of @trekranks.com. Thanks for having me on to discuss the mouthfeel of cool character names!!!!!!
After a strong 3 episodes, #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds leans into its worst impulses in this week’s “Once La’an a Time” and offers a needless sequel. It’s the ultimate “we’re having fun, just go with it” episode, but I didn’t have much fun. My review:
Jolene Blalock is so good as T'Pol always, but her performance in "The Seventh" is one of the things about that episode that I really vibed with.
It is for sure going to hold the bottom spot for a while as a 5 episode block haha
Just like Threshold is a great episode until Paris’s tongue falls out as @roguemogh.bsky.social says Unexpected is great until the nipple shows up.
100%
Oh you mean 24 in Space? Hahaha yes.
