So I'm a little bit guilty of having quite a backlog of books to read, but why didn't anyone tell me how good @aidanmoher.com's book Fight, Magic, Items is?! I'm amazed at the level of "wtf moments" in the JRPG industry. Anyway grab it if you can, worth it fightmagicitems.rocks
Félicitations ! J'ai hâte de commencer et vive la chocolatine !
Fresh out of the press, two new localized versions of the @arabmisfits.com website because I can't just wait for Steam to add Arabic support to their store.
The Arab League of Misfits is built on the DNA of our Arabic culture: from devastating history to unforgettable viral memes!
Today’s reveal is Shut Up Your Mouse, based on the viral 2014 video, illustrated by our Art Director @theahmedraafat.bsky.social.
One on my end. Thanks 🙏
There are many more pop culture references in the game, and this one is high on my list.
Don't forget to wishlist our game on go.arabmisfits.com/steam
Like both the minister of education and the interior happen to make it all the way to Marseille from Paris to visit the school for this?
I did not have a false flag school shooting happening in France in my bingo list
J'ai le plaisir de vous annoncer que je prendrai la parole dans le cadre de l'événement "Game Changers: RDV du jeu vidéo engagé et politique !"
Trop content de revoir @skywilly.bsky.social et bien d'autre personne a l'événement.
Nooooo... Why did they bait me like this.
I finished school with a 6/20 grade and went straight to art school 😅
I love these little inner jokes in the making of our game... In today's episode of #gamedev bug fixes: MATH IS HARD featuring @zein.games (we're both really shit at math)
I know it was a given, but this ADHD powered dev - even though being one of the first to sign the pledge - completely forgot to support the initiative as our studio. As the great Nelson Mandela said: "We won’t be free until Palestine is"
I've been really enjoying every moment of discovering these pitches, and truly feel like this new generation of devs are even more talented than they ever were. Really wish them all the best for finding a potential publishing/investment partner at Paris Game Biz
Colonial powers created many of the problems we Arabs face today.
The Arab League of Misfits reappropriates those exact themes for our satirical card game, and one fine example is how we transformed the Sykes-Picot map into the Insult card Borders Drawn by a Toddler
That is the entire point of the satirical card theme. The Sykes-Picot agreement was so absurd we literally represented it with a pacifier and crayons.
The ongoing violence in the Arab world nowadays traces back to arrogant colonial powers carving up our homes.
This card is a good example of how we designed some to mock the absurdity of the Sykes-Picot agreement and other devastating historical acts, as a necessary act of defiance.
For the cost of 100 liters of water and destroying a small forest in the process, you too can make broken shit. Anyway shift to Godot if you haven't yet, it'll be worth it.
Oh Chris you don't want a quote from me for this
