Ex-boss filed a $12 theft charge against an ex-employee because she got a restraining order in response to his creepy behavior. Charge was never prosecuted, but it gave ICE an excuse to arrest and detain her. Congratulations to the 58 Democrats who voted for the Laken Riley Act. You own this.

I'm probably a yes on 7 and can be persuaded to vote for 2 as well. The rest of these can get bent.

Voters face 10 constitutional amendments on the Nov. 3 ballot, dealing with property taxes, term limits, bail rights, retirement debt and more. We have a handy PAR Louisiana guide that breaks them down. We take no positions on them, just provide information: parlouisiana.org/wp-content/u... #lalege

"They might tax some of my billions or put some mild regulatory restraints on the growth of my businesses, therefore I will endorse fascism" is not savvy. It's not clever. It's not understandable or forgivable. It's shitty, just like it looks on the surface.

Just to be clear, since the Governor's announcement and the headlines intentionally obscure this fact, what they are "approving" now is ordinary debt secured financing already agreed to by the legislature. www.nola.com/news/politic...

Can’t Allow Elon Musk the Power to Intervene in Wars No individual should be able to disrupt military ops like Musk did with Ukraine’s. I wrote that when he did it in 2023. Was told the problem was contract rules. Nope. Happened again. The problem is too much power, esp for an enemy of democracy.

Not only do jurors and grand jurors have a right to nullify, individual citizens also have a right to advocate for nullification to the public. This investigation is unlawful retaliation against the exercise of core constitutional rights.

What fresh hell of a framing is this?? "alleges the groups are advocating for the long-debated practice of jury nullification" Long-debated?! It's literally part of the our founding origin story: the Zenger trial in 1735! It's not "debated"! It's a fundamental core REASON FOR THE JURY AT ALL.
