The secret ingredient in every billionaire’s success story? Somebody else’s labor.
People are picked up on their way to work, handcuffed, and taken to a warehouse, leaving their families searching for answers. There is something deeply disturbing about treating human beings like something to be stored away.
At what point do we stop calling this wealth and start calling it hoarding?
Worker power is working. ✊🏿
The labor movement is radical imagination in action. We imagine something better, then organize to make it real.
Hey, you. Yes, YOU! This is your sign to vote early. Your vote is your power. Own it. 🙌🏿
Starbucks tried to get Workers United’s trademark lawsuit thrown out. A federal judge just said NO. Workers aren’t a brand. Solidarity isn’t a trademark. And this movement doesn’t belong to a corporation. ✊🏿
Billionaires didn’t work a billion times harder. They just got better at rigging the rules.
College athletes generate billions in revenue. They deserve to get paid. They deserve power over their own name, image & likeness. They deserve the freedom to form a union. The Protect College Sports Act puts all three at risk. That's not right.
When immigrant workers are under attack, all workers are under attack. ✊🏿
There’s nothing more powerful than working people realizing just how powerful we are together.
THIS is why we fight. You don’t get to tear up a union contract for 30,000 folks just because workers having power makes you uncomfortable.
Y’all, they are talking about putting human beings in vans “until full.” These are our coworkers. Our neighbors. Our families. They want us to scroll past this suffering like it is normal. There is nothing normal about this.
I went to Phoenix to talk about Money, Power, and Respect. I left thinking about people who were told what they were worth and what they could never change, but organized anyway. That’s the lesson working people have proven: power can change hands. Link to the full article on Substack in my bio.
Oh look. The money trickled up again.
$200K+ spent trying to stop 10 workers from forming a union. And the workers STILL won. Corporate power is strong. Worker power is stronger. Congratulations to the AutoZone workers who just made history. This is what courage looks like. 💪🏿
This is your reminder: YOUR VOICE IS YOUR POWER. Voter registration deadlines are approaching in many states. Check yours. Then check on your people.
Faith. Labor. Civil rights. Some of the most powerful movements in our history were built when these forces came together. November is not the finish line. It’s another step in building power.
(3/3) So yes, I am incredibly grateful for this recognition. But I’m even more grateful that my life’s work is about building a world where power isn’t something reserved for the people whose names make lists. It belongs to all of us.
