Fiver is a great start. There are some artist who will design a somewhat basic cover art for you typically from 10$-50$ . It won't be the best obviously, however getting your art out is the first big step and then you can make a second edition of the book if there's enough interest with new cover.

Music has always been more about passion for me. I record the music I enjoy playing and never pander. It's difficult to follow your own path and market. The hard truth is sometimes those don't mesh, but depending on goals, find a way to tune your music in a way that ties to your true sound!

Social media is definitely the way to go. You'll eventually find an audience being authentic and joining other circles. If you're looking for ad spend something like bookbub is great for finding particular niches.
