We are pleased to announce Brian Duguid as the winner of the 2026 Greg Stafford Memorial Award for Gloranthan Fandom. This month marks the eighth anniversary of the passing of Greg Stafford, Chaosium's revered founder and original creative visionary.

It's how they get you...

It really is, I know alot of manufacturers do their own in sample sizes but having a one stop shop is great.

By my reckoning you roughly get 7 to 8 refills of a standard fountain pen converter per each tube which isn't bad at all.

Excuse the scrappy handwriting, but the pen writes very nicely out of the box although I will say the converter is a very tight fit. A noted thing on the reviews I read but other than that really nice also normally this pen is 55 on their website but at the show it was 40, very underpriced I feel.

I also brought some ink via the Ink Library who do samples of many ink manufacturers, great idea to try out inks. They are launching a website next weekend too.

Well... you got given a stamp quest booklet unlike me. Plus, you didn't disclose it until we had left.

Pen Show haul includes this lovely fountain pen by Tom Hessin.

On route to the National Pen Show at Hammersmith, currently plotting where to head afterwards for a pint.

Highly recommended, honestly such a great concept which will create some space horror and mystery at your table

On this and my pen show post, two brands I really liked are on my ick list after doing HP collabs, both were roundly and rightly slated on social media for the announcements but they still went ahead with the cash cow hoping fans would forget the betrayal...

This is true! I'm definitely looking at the Tom Hessan stall, I like their Stockbridge fountain pen but do want to see it in person, and this way there is no postage. Other than that it is a chance to look at stuff. I do have a budget with a little wiggle room.

At Hammersmith, there will be haul posts... plus probably posts showing very very expensive pens that I will not be buying

Next weekend is the Pen Show in Hammersmith, really looking forward to it. I will be attempting not to buy any more ink... I understand I will probably fail.
