For anyone who needs a new or starting anime, may I suggest “Traped in a Dating Sim?” Mostly because the lead voice actor of the protagonist is a fucking MONSTER in all the best ways.  It plays like an abridged series.

In all seriousness, to those who do want to get what's on their mind onto the page, the secret really is just that simple. "But what if it sucks?" Write it anyway! Write it badly, even. The absolute crappiest writing ever. Dump the toy chest into the floor. You can clean it up it later.

"But what if it isn't very good when I publish?" What if you go to the gym and immediately don't look like a bodybuilder? Still go! That's how you get to be a bodybuilder.

"But I can't publish until it's as good as Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones." Commendable, but those aren't without flaws too, no matter how many critics or video essayists say otherwise. Write until it's good enough. Perfect doesn't exist.

Great advice! I would also add, "Stop being afraid of making mistakes." It's going to happen. Mistakes are wonderful! They teach you things. Arguably, moreso than successes. So, don't be afraid to fail. Be afraid of never trying. Because whether what you do works or not, you still did and learned.

"Then how do I get better?" Study and practice. Keep writing. Watch highly rated media and read books from ALL generations. Evaluate criticism (not all of it is good, but not all of it is bad), and surround yourself with wise council. Trusted beta readers who will give you honest feedback.

Most importantly, if you have the gift of storytelling, have fun. Not everything you write has to be profound. People love Scooby-Doo and Shaggy running from a guy in a monster suit as much as they're captivated by the grim political complexities and human folly of Westeros Now... go write and...
