And JJ's latest, "History Is The Struggle Of Becoming" should be on there too. Damn, 9 is nowhere near enough

So I did the 9 album thing. There are many more than 9 in reality, & Zep IV might be swapped out for Physical Graffiti & back again.

Sounds like a very good reason to pour one... or two 😃 Congratulations! My excuse tonight is a day of reprised birthday celebrations with friends. But need to get off to sleep now ready for my volunteering work in the morning.

Another fantastic show! Looking forward to listening again soon 🫂🖤

Vinyl spinning right now. "Oh! You Pretty Things". One I had on CD but lovely to have on a 12" black plastic disc now, with thanks to Marc & Maggie for the birthday present. 🎧🎶

“Botanical creature stirs, seeking revenge…” The Return of the Giant Hogweed, Genesis, 1971.

And there are many other cars on the roads which seem to serve the same one purpose. Give me a Fiat 500 or Citroën 2CV any day. Favourite car I've ever owned? My old Citroën C1. Such a fun drive. You could just about park 2 of those in one space 🤣

I didn't need quite such great timing to capture this, but still pleased that I caught it. Taken at a Waterloo re-enactment at Wollaton Hall, Nottingham, for the bicentenary in 2015. I cropped in a bit so you can more clearly see the sparks flying out. I don't know anything at all about firearms.

I've been watching it repeatedly since first broadcast. It hasn't yet lost its charm, doubt it will. And the music is superb. I did buy a couple of other albums by Cinder Well earlier this year. There's some quality to Amelia Baker's voice I can't quite pin down, but I love.

I got an email at 10:49 yesterday to say it was released. I'd only pre-ordered it the day before. I have a couple of the albums containing some of the tracks & bought the theme tune single a while back. But it's good to have the more "incidental" pieces now too.

And now I’ve moved on to the “Small Prophets” soundtrack album. Bought as a digital download because shipping physical media from the US to UK on Bandcamp is eye watering.

I have to say that the price some of these fetch on Discogs is shocking & a rip-off. I'm a music lover, not "a collector" & the only way I see my music collection as "an investment" are in terms of my well-being and enjoyment.

I'm not sure they know just how generous a gift it might be 🤣 But they are the sort of friend who I don't think would care about the financial value, just the value of being able to give this to a friend who they know will listen to it.

A superb album. I had it on CD, but a friend gave me this as a birthday present yesterday. They have a stash of vinyl they're looking to sell & this was in the collection. I need to have a conversation with them because I suspect it's a UK first pressing. I need a closer look at the matrix etchings.

Working on some photos whilst this is in my ears 😎
