The GoP is the party of Trump and corruption now days. They're can't be trusted to convict one of their own unlike in the Nixon days.

In general, I think the problem is a wage problem. We've been eliminating higher paying jobs and surpressing worker wages for decades, so cities are often having to increase tax rates to make up for the lower revenue.

I understand the feeling. My parents get to vote and they're deep in conspiracy land. The hope that there are enough sane people that these people would be a very small minority. However we've already shown that assumption can't be trusted either.
