This contemporary kimono outfit presents a striking synthesis of vintage graphic design and vivid textile accents from Kyoto boutiques Modorihashi and Tento.

The silk kimono featured is a classic vintage meisen weave, decorated with bold, abstract geometric fan-like motifs composed of fine black pinstripes set against an off-white ground, punctuated by delicate red dashed gridwork. Anchoring the waist is a brilliant magenta-pink obi sash woven with a tonal fretwork pattern (sayagata), featuring a prominent embroidered botanical motif of a bright yellow blossom with pale sage-green leaves.
