Made a circular pizza last night, thank you to my education for teaching me shapes
They were 3 hours but this one I did smth different im holding off sharing for now that made it four
Playing this and going for perfect in the full game It’s so funny how you can really tell both the designers and Tsunku have such a deep history in idol music since the beats of the beat map are literally just the moments you would do idol-adjacent chants to this very 2000s idol-sounding banger
I won’t be at TGA, curious to hear more
Soon 👀
The uneasy feeling spread over me
I don’t care if it’s later in the day they should have saved some for me!
I got craft hot sauce tho! Which is something

You start trying to be fancy being with your hair and before you know it your hair appointments are 4 hours long
Discussed some Tokyo Game Show indie games for @kotaku.com, and how Japanese indies are taking a different path to that seen elsewhere
Super Real Mahjong Venus Returns dominated the charts in Japan over the summer.

I like it, and that last sequence elevated the whole thing thematically and the j the context of being ‘Resident Evil’ Saw it in Roppongi with @jparkerdalton.bsky.social so I got to see the actual creature* from the film as I was leaving (Not the actual creature, but it fits)
Resident Evil (2026): an interesting take on the series that’s maybe a bit too repetitive and video game-y to fully work as a movie and a bit too ‘funny’ …Made far more interesting in the final five minutes for how it recontextualizes both the movie and the context you watch it
(I finally managed to have a moment of calm and enough free points from all the purchases from moving to get the game for literally free using only points, so I took advantage)
Me whenever I cook since I moved
(By 'it begins', I mean it begins outside of already being a colossus like Minecraft or Fortnite. Sure, of course they'll do transmedia stuff. But you gotta go deeper down the chain, and this feels like an effort to make sure it's not just Halo and the top franchises getting those efforts)
Japan does it and has done it for years. It's what I've been trying to say is the big thing a lot of the international companies should emulate, and I've been trying to do a lot more writing that highlights that aspect for precisely that reason Between SEGA doing it for Persona and this, it begins
This is the sort of thing I've been saying for YEARS and finally internationally a few companies are starting to catch up Games need to be transmedia. That's movies, yes, but it's merchandising, in-person pop-up events and experiences, collaborations I'm surprised it's Xbox first on the ball there
