We’ve been talking about this for years. None of these far-right movements are organic.

Andy Burnham confirms what previous PM's - May, Johnson, Truss, Sunak and Starmer - failed to, that Russia interfered in the Brexit referendum.

On Facebook, this has 2400 laughing reactions and the comments are worse. A stark example of the dehumanisation of migrants

Another reason why we need to do more, and quickly, to protect our politics from foreign interferences. The measures so far in the Representation of the People Bill are welcome, but much too much is being punted to possible, maybe, perhaps one day future action.

Yes but actions speak louder than words. We retain the same vulnerabilities in our political systems, indeed the situation seems to be worse now than it was then. I do hope that Burnham has the political will and courage to make the real reforms that are required to safeguard our democracy.

With the growing chance of a GE before the end of the year it is the MPs briefing against Ed who are threatening the prospects of the MPs who have not. We absolutely need be a united front to stand against Reform and the Conservatives. We should be benefiting from the Greens chaos right now not this

Wind and solar helped the UK avoid US$7.8 BILLION in gas imports during the Hormuz crisis. That’s what breaking fossil fuel dependence looks like. Governments backing more oil and gas owe people an explanation. SCALE UP RENEWABLES.

The first Russian diesel cargo heading for the US left St Petersburg on September 22, two weeks *before* Trump announced the deal with Putin, Windward reports. The Greek-flagged tanker Minerva Zen carrying 275,000 barrels of diesel/gasoil is due at the US East Coast around 11–12 October.

1/ Russian sources expect that as well as purchasing Russian oil and diesel, Donald Trump will provide Russia with spare parts to repair the refineries damaged by Ukrainian drone strikes. They anticipate that Trump's fuel deal will lead to a Russian victory. ⬇️

As Attorney General, we stand firmly behind the International Criminal Court and its vital work in holding perpetrators of international crimes to account. I disagree with the sanctions on the Court. I will continue to protect international law and defend its independence.

Wow. Donald Trump is giving money to Putin’s war machine so he can keep killing innocent Ukrainians and attacking democracies across Europe. The UK must lead a coalition of the willing that stands up and says no.

Not entirely certain how or if the UK or the EU for that matter can ensure that Russian Diesel fuel is not being brought by America even mixed with other supplies and then sold on to the UK directly via America. Perhaps that is the whole point of this deal?

Trump’s deal to buy Russian diesel from Putin just weeks before the midterms funnels money directly into Russia’s war machine. Trump is now facing calls for Congress to block the deal and impeach him. Meanwhile, energy analysts say it’s unlikely to even make a dent in fuel prices.

New blog: there are rumours swirling that the Warm Homes Plan and particularly the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (the heat pump subsidy) will be cut in the Budget.

Scrapping it would be a disastrous decision, leaving UK climate and energy policy in disarray

Because every political party that is actually doing quite well in the run in to a possible general election needs a pointless distraction and to look internally divided when we are not to satisfy on backbenchers personal ego trip. Pointless. Terrible timing. Irrelevant to what we need to be doing.

The important question Kemi Badenoch should be asking is not "what will Net Zero cost the UK?", rather it's, "what will it cost the UK if we delay or fail to achieve Net Zero?"
The truth is Net Zero is relatively cheap in comparison to the alternatives. E.g.:
