I find swearing helps. But then cussing is my default reaction to most things, so I may not be the most reliable source.

That sucks and I hate it.

Some pre-order news next week...

I'll be at Galaxy Con in St. Louis next weekend!

Yes - especially if your characters and / or plot are interesting enough to warrant that epilogue. But don’t just hard cut to a “to be continued”, I beg. I abhor the feeling of realising there’s X number of pages left and too much plot to resolve in that space.

Once again capitalism tries to ruin something for me. Luckily there are enough books published that *are* for me, that I can ignore the ones that aren’t.

Exactly! I read three separate books last year that stopped mid-plot. Angered me enough that I refused to read the follow up book (or in one case, the next two) to find out what happens. I don’t know if it’s lazy writing, poor editing, a blatant cash grab, or something else entirely. But I hate it.

Launching soon!

I absolutely get this. Especially the semi-recent prose trend where books finish at the mid-point of a story, and expect you to pick up the “sequel”. I find it infuriating.

TOMORROW, North America! Have you preordered your copy yet?

The best thing about having a group of friends who come over once a month to eat a big lunch then play several hours of D&D is exactly that. The second best thing is getting to eat a plate of roast dinner on a Monday evening with zero additional effort.
