A cat with chronic fatigue syndrome. I'm bad at social media and don't have the willpower left to fix that. One year I hope to be able to fight my own battles again...

Someone is replacing my body with a slightly worse body each night while I sleep.

I didn't have the heart to tell Simpled that it was just a Halloween costume.

So convincing!

Digital art of Simpled, the maned wolf, looking fascinated over at Poik, who is clearly a cat on cardboard tube stilts and a cardboard cut "mane".
Simpled: "Wow! You're a shape shifter?"
Poik, looking a little nervous: "uh...yes?"
Simpled: "So convincing!"

I'm checking out Schrodinger's Cat Burglar today! It looks cute. I'm not biased, I promise. Anyway, feel free to collapse the wave function over here: https://twitch.tv/PoikSpirit

"JK Rowling is already a billionaire and everyone already knows about Harry Potter, what's the point of boycotting?" Nobody thinks boycotting will bankrupt her. We know she's gonna die rich. We're just asking you to show a shred of solidarity with trans folk. Absolute low bar bare minimum shit.

YOU - I don't want to be this kind of animal anymore.

This is still nothing like how a living thing experiences for a number of reasons, but it's neat.

@poik.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 12:08 AM

My favorite relevant research was into curiosity as an unsupervised learning approach (the network reward was based on whether it could predict the next input or not and things it could not predict got more attention) partially because the algorithm becomes a couch potato if you give it a TV.

@poik.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 12:08 AM

Oh boy. The responses to you don't seem to understand basic qualia. But there was research into defining approximations of experience, which is neat and closer to how babies learn than what is used in LLMs (which can never experience, you are correct, at least outside of tokenized semantic space).

Finally getting around to Ultrakill. Unfortunately, I think I'm too late. Hell is full. Maybe we can help fix that. Feel free to come chill with me over here: https://twitch.tv/PoikSpirit

We finished Esoteric Ebb last week, so we're moving onto Resident Evil 3! I thought we already evicted the Evil, how does it keep coming back? Anyway, feel free to chill with me and some zombies over here: https://twitch.tv/PoikSpirit

@poik.bsky.socialSep 24, 2026, 6:13 PM

I believe we're approaching the end of Esoteric Ebb today. Ragn may be more tired than I am, but we don't have time to rest, not when we're this close. Feel free to chill with me over here: https://twitch.tv/PoikSpirit

More Esoteric Ebb today! I expected more to be down here, so I'm going to keep exploring for a bit. This investigation feels like it's a little bit of a dead end. Ah well. Feel free to chill with The Cleric over here: https://twitch.tv/PoikSpirit

@poik.bsky.socialSep 17, 2026, 6:17 PM

Back to Esoteric Ebb. We don't have much time left to find this witness. I'm going to try to speedrun a dungeon, as soon as I actually find the entrance... Feel free to hang out with me over here: https://twitch.tv/PoikSpirit

This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.

When I was at one of my lowest (mental) points in life, I couldn't get out of bed some days. I had no energy or motivation and was barely getting by.

I had therapy once per week, and on this particular week I didn't have much to 'bring' to the session. He asked how my week was and I really had nothing to say.

'What are you struggling with?' he asked.

I gestured around me and said 'I dunno man. Life.'

Not satisfied with my answer, he said 'No, what exactly are you worried about right now? What feels overwhelming? When you go home after this session, what issue will be staring at you?'

I knew the answer, but it was so ridiculous that I didn't want to say it. I wanted to have something more substantial.
Something more profound.

But I didn't.

So I told him, 'Honestly? The dishes. It's stupid, I know, but the more I look at them the more I CAN'T do them because I'll have to scrub them before I put them in the dishwasher, because the dishwasher sucks, and I just can't stand and scrub the dishes.'

I felt like an idiot even saying it.

What kind of grown ass woman is undone by a stack of dishes? There are people out there with *actual* problems, and I'm whining to my therapist about dishes?

But he nodded in understanding and then said:

'RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE.'I began to tell him that you're not supposed to, but he stopped me.

'Why the hell aren't you supposed to? If you don't want to scrub the dishes and your dishwasher sucks, run it twice. Run it three times, who cares?! Rules do not exist.'

It blew my mind in a way that I don't think I can properly express.

That day, I went home and tossed my smelly dishes haphazardly into the dishwasher and ran it three times.

I felt like I had conquered a dragon.

The next day, I took a shower lying down.

A few days later. I folded my laundry and put them wherever the fuck they fit.

There were no longer arbitrary rules I had to follow, and it gave me the freedom to make accomplishments again.

Now that I'm in a healthier place, I rinse off my dishes and put them in the dishwasher properly. I shower standing up. I sort my laundry.

But at a time when living was a struggle instead of a blessing, I learned an incredibly important lesson:

THERE ARE NO RULES. RUN THE DISHWASHER TWICE!!!"

mucho texto i know but i wanted to write a lil thing about how u can treat yourself nice!!

art of a wolf girl eating broccoli and brushing her teeth. the dialogue says:
I've been an adult living on my own for a coupleyears now and since I have ADHD and bouts of Sick Brain Disease I can fall into a rut easilyESPECIALLY when it comesto taking care of myselfbut the awesome thing about being an adult is that no one is watching over your shoulder making
sure you're perfect i used to give myself shit that i wouldn't be able to eat healthier or take care of myself in an optimal way here's a cool trick tho: ANYTHINGis is better than nothing. if you can only eat a couple vegetables? buddy thats better than no vegetables. worried about brushing your teeth for like three minutes? do like ten seconds instead want to socialize more often but you're worried you can't do multi-hour events? babe you're an adult now, if you get tired you can just leave lol If you want to improve, fuck yeah, work your way up to more of whatever. starting at all is the hard part - if you can do that then you've got a lot of what you need already anyway ive crunched the numbers and treating yourself a little bit better than yesterday is actually a million times better than trying to Fix Your Life Completely and getting mad when you can't do a 180. be nice and recognize that you can live a lot of your life in first or second drafts; if you're not perfect yet? fuck it, you'll get better later! u can do it!!! woof!!

I will add pressure to this by saying that any company that claims to not hold onto your personal data after verifying you? They're lying. Ive been nitro free since the first time they tried this, voice how you feel with your wallet people. Make them really feel that squeeze.
