Wow congrats on finally becoming an organisation how’s it feel to be multiple people

Oh I drove past that the other week. There’s a bunch of signs there. They look unhinged.

Every gamemaker who is presenting at Parallels or is showing their game in our ACMI takeovers is paid for their creative labour. We aren’t doing these artists a favour and marketing their game. We’re exhibiting some of the most important Australian screen art being made today.

There’s a few titles on Saturday that haven’t quite launched yet but shhhh.

I curated a little bundle of Australian independent games in a collab with ACMI. Friday’s Parallel Play complements our (secret) lineup for Parallels this year with some of the most exciting upcoming titles — while Freeplay Forever shows some of best work that’s come out in the last two years.

I’m nothing if not a follower and I had a few minutes to kill. Here are my immediate gut thoughts of my favourite “no skips” — almost perfect albums for an unbroken listening experience.

I think I have that insurance too but last time I looked into it, it would only cover disabling illness. I’ll give them a bell during the week tho to check again.

If only there was some kind of system where people would pay into it over their lifetime and then get paid out in a tax beneficial way… oh well.

CORRECT. My bills for the same time period that I ALREADY KNOW are coming will be nearly three times what my savings currently are.

Thankfully “navigating MyAgedCare and Services Australia for two adults” is basically a full time job so I’m at least keeping myself occupied.

I’m between jobs because I’ve been very sick for the past few months and will need a few more weeks minimum to be back to Optimal Worker health—and because my mum’s health is deteriorating and has required a not insignificant time and money investment from me to manage. These aren’t RARE conditions
