School is back after a nice, long New York summer. It was a pleasure to greet parents and kids on the first day of school at PS 89 with District 1 Superintendent Kelly McGuire. I wish all 900,000+ NYC public school students a great year.

SCOTUS–packed with Trump-appointed conservatives-greenlit a $783M cut to biomedical research simply because it’s loosely tied to some bogus definition of DEI. The GOP is deliberately blocking life-saving innovation and treatments at the altar of white victimhood, and now all Americans will suffer.

ICE isn't targeting criminals. They’re arresting nonviolent, law-abiding mothers, fathers, and kids, tearing families apart. Asylum is a legal path to immigration, but Trump is voiding asylum claims so masked ICE officers can meet mass deportation quotas. This is not the America I know.
