I helped make a game! Size Con did a Game Jam this year and I along with a lot of other awesome people worked on a game featuring a growing Alien Queen, The Size-Queen! A tower defense game where you fend off attackers by immobilizing them and collect their size for the Queen!
As a caveat, I will say that such things don't happen often, I don't think. But I also take some issue with a twist that only makes sense as a twist if you go to the Wikipedia plot summary to figure out what Rule of Magic wasn't followed.
Oh, totally. I'm not talking about THAT. I like a good twist. It's when the story has what COULD/SHOULD be a twist but it's unjustified, unsupported, and has no apparent thematic relevance. It's when the media goes "This is horror so ending must be bad/shocking regardless of logic."
Conversely tho, I hate horror movies that establish rules, you see the main character manage to apparently follow all the rules and save themselves and/or vanquish the evil, but the story has an out of nowhere/unearned/nonsensical "Fuck you anyway" ending. That always feels like a cheap cheat to me.
As a balding male myself, there's little sadder than a thin-haired balding male trying to pull off a ponytail.
I do wanna reach out and say thanks for the support with the comms and everything. This is a little outta left field but just realize you matter--I know things can get scary and sometimes it feels as if you're stuck. But try to go as easy on yourself as you can, heart. You'll thank yourself later.
Like they were 'clipped' on his back collar and hanging between his shoulder blades.
Astonishing. 48 hours ago the NYT reported on a Treason scandal exponentially bigger than Benghazi, at the center of the Iran War, and involving Trump agents hiding the deaths of Americans in service of a foreign power—and besides the NYT the only outlet I see covering it is PROOF (my pinned post).
Just saw an older man walking around a department store with his sunglasses tucked into the back collar of his shirt so they're hanging from by one of the two long bits that goes over your ears... And fuck, that's one of the dumbest looking things I've seen.

I hear you but I don't think that's an entirely apt comparison. Deep-fried Butter is State Fair food and that's meant to be batshit-bonkers once-a-year hyper-decadent nonsense. I don't think you can say the same about a Wiggan Kebab and Chip Butty.
Happy late birthday to me! ^_^ When asked how big to go, i decided to listen to my heart

A Happy Belated Birthday gift for the wonderful @iliarakantira.bsky.social !! Ft. Her Eternal Glory @victoriawho.bsky.social as the subject of this piece<3333
don't typically do breast expansion stuff BUT this was super fun! always happy to try new things<33 hope yall enjoy!
People give British food crap and I think it's partly justified. Americans do some dumb shit, a lot of it via corporate novelty. But look at a Chip Butty and a Wiggan Kebab. And I just heard of someone in the UK making pot noodles with less water so it's thick enough to eat between buttered bread.
BBC Headline Writer: How do i say "New Year's Eve" in a way that makes sense to the fewest English language-speakers?
I don't know if the East Coast changed since I lived there but I remember some food being easier to come by than in the Midwest. Specifically, out here with pizza and Chinese food it's either Okay and Expensive or Good and Very Expensive. I wanna say the East Coast had Good and Affordable options.

I feel weird splitting hairs here but public executions were the rule for much/most of human existence, right? I don't disagree in principle but in historical pedantry, I'm less sure...
I don't know if I'm dumb, naive, or ignorant, but I still have a hard time fathoming how enough of the country could vote for Trump to make him the Republican nominee and then President after Jan.6. Was I the only person watching live news coverage that day?
