The Feds will subsidize a $100 billion pipeline after paying $34bil for the last one.
But the PM signs on with Trump to fight subsidized EV technology.
This has nothing to do with jobs. It is about blocking the expansion of cheap/accessible alternatives.

Canada has been massively investing in drones and our military. But we have left the back door open with lax rules on foreign interference.
The US laid out the strategy of breaking Canada apart from within and picking up the pieces. We need to get serious about the threat.

Enter the Yes Agenda, a fascinating new project mapping 110 clean energy projects across the country. The country isn't lacking in clean opportunities, it's lacking the political vision for a 21st century clean energy system. www.yesagenda.ca

Carney's pitch has tried to rhetorically balance the new fossil fuel agenda with a recognition that clean electricity will be key for future economic competitiveness. But the new data shows our power grids are getting dirtier due to gas (and will get worse!) if he sticks with his plans.

@conorcurtis.bsky.socialOct 9, 2026, 1:09 PM

It's also a pretty obvious attempt to distract from Bill C-39, and bad press about U.S. purchasing. The good here is thanks to public pressure, not government competence.

The Liberals and Conservatives teamed up again today — funny how that keeps happening — to get Bill C-39 over the hurdle of its first vote. The massive, 243-page bill bulldozes environmental protections, Indigenous rights and attacks the right to strike. Here's what this means:
