Youtube’s algorithm delivered yet again. Ninth chords and breakbeats are the key to my heart.
+1 for the dishwasher point. But a lot of nice clothing items are just not washing machine / dryer friendly. Especially nice wool stuff. Always gutted when e.g. a merino wool piece of clothing gets screwed up by the dryer on accident.
As a member of that audience -- can confirm 🙂
Security check at Stockholm coming back from Africa, asked to lay out all the electronics. Challenge accepted, took about 4 trays. Lady working at security: "Are you a gamer?". Me: "We gave a digital government workshop for developers in Mozambique... But yes".
In the process I learned there is no good open source contrast algorithm so we're doing a survey on contrast to make one. Would be cool if you could take some minutes out of your day and do it. For science! contrastsurvey.earendil.com

Nice! I was working on a similar project, but went so deep into a MusicBrainz integration rabbit hole that I got a little fed up and switched to the next side project 😅
I think she knows…
No affiliation, but I quite like astro.build
Found it to be a pretty fun exercise if the trust is there.
Well, they found out that I'm into music production, way more into tech than my role would have suggested and, uhm, sometimes listen to ASMR to help me fall asleep. I won't give away the insights I got from theirs 😄
Once did this with a remote colleague when we finally met up in person, but instead of slack react speed dial it was the youtube home page. Pretty insightful and slightly embaressing, but led to a good conversation 😅
don't be nice.
Nice campaign by the Norwegian Consumer Council about the declining lifespan of products. Enjoy!
