Chris Claremont signing Sasquatch. #NYCC
Very, very pecial guest-star writing a feature-length tale for the one, double-size issue to celebrate the 50 year history of Spectacular Spider-Man.
How's easy. There's a zillion ways how. A silhouette of a guy falling out of a helicopter after being shot. Give me Mysterio and two mirrors and that guy's alive tomorrow. Tell me he had a new version of the Super Soldier Serum in him? Even easier. Simple version: That guy in prison wasn't even him.

...SPIDER-MAN vs. THE RED SKULL!
This will be LEGENDARY!
This is Spider-Man taking on *the* Red Skull who ordered the hit on Richard and Mary Parker, Peter Parker's Parents!

Kinda bummed. Was going to make a surprise appearance at the NYCC Spider-Man Panel... right now. But an injury has kept me at home. 🙃 Ah... well. Things happen. Sorry.
@jenashleywright.bsky.social Just saying... this could be the ultimate surprise for a certain Mr. Daniel Kibblesmith...
We're now a nation that has present day firing squads AND we live stream them. That's barbaric and it doesn't speak well of us as a country. It doesn't matter if someone was guilty of a heinous crime. This isn't about them. It's about us. And our character. And wether we are an evolved people.
The weird thing is... I've read reviews and reactions where people didn't pick up on that at all and thought it was a positive and/or uplifting ending. Thank you for restoring my faith. :)
One example out of three dozen: Bone claws. There's no way the bone claws work with the 80's handbook version of Wolverine.
Happiest of Birthdays! Welcome to the next half of your personal century. :)
Comic Book Canon: What's on the page trumps what's in a handbook. For example: If what was in the Marvel Handbooks were sacrosanct, half of the Wolverine stories from the 90's and beyond wouldn't work if they treated the 80's Marvel Handbooks as gospel.
Quick rule of thumb: Even if you tag me, I can't repost any positive review or post you make about my work if your post *also* slams another comic book creator or their work. Compliments aren't seesaws. You can raise someone up WITHOUT pushing someone else down. :)
...and that's okay. How you read and interpret a story is-- and should be-- a personal thing. 2/2
I know what my intentions were for Marcos & my story in ASM #1000... And I've now read reviews and reactions where it landed that way with readers, but... I'm also seeing a lot of "Death of the Author" reactions, where readers & reviewers are having wildly different interpretations about it... 1/2
Out Today: AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1000 SUPERMAN: KINGDOM OF ZOD SPECIAL #1 If you're in Baltimore, I'll be signing from 6pm-8pm at Third Eye Comics! (And even though it's a Spidey #1000 signing, it's okay to bring some Superman comic too.) ;-)
"Superman: Kingdom of Zod Special #1 wraps up its titular storyline while also laying the groundwork for a new era of stories featuring the Man of Steel and his friends."

Read @cjwritesstuff.bsky.social's review:
It's one of the most unbelievable honors of my life that I have stories in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #600, #700, #800, #900, and, as of today, #1000. Today's short story, "I Can Never Rest", that I worked on with legendary artist, Marcos Martin, is one of my favorite stories I've ever written for Spidey.
Amazing Spider-man 1000's shorts are top notch! Maybe the best milestone issue I've read. You've got @brianmbendis.bsky.social & Stuart Immonen, @danslott.bsky.social & Marcos Martin, both A-game knockout stories! Noah Hawley will do more for sure. Even WWE's HHH has a story! Buy with confidence!
If it helps, I'm pretty sure he shot down Enemy Ace.
