Only once it happened to me to online friends, the other two times was pre internet life. Yeah, it’s not good when it happens. Each time it happened the person was thinking at the time they were flattering the higher ranked friend without thinking of the lower ones.

Every time a friend in my past friend groups openly ranked friends, the friend group fell apart/that person left in three months.
