There was a spell with one decent tunes today. I arrived to Primal Scream, St Etienne and another 90s classic I love. Turned to my lad and said, ‘they’ll spoil this with Oasis soon,’ next track was Some Might Say, one of about 4 songs of theirs I like. Then it went shite. Until The Strokes.

Yeah totally. None of this is on Grezza and Lucketti. First half was more positive. AN changed their approach at half time and dominated the ball as we had in the first half. Hindsight is great but board should have acted sooner. Pep wouldn’t keep us up this season.

Thing about supporting North End is that weekends are never ruined when we lose. Been going about 45 years so you kind of get used to it. Got home today and Mrs GL asked the boy how we went, ‘Got beat. Obviously. We lose every week.’

Life’s full of ups and downs, especially on a Saturday morning! Fasted Zone 2 run, building resilience ready to start marathon training again in December.

Lovely morning for it. Sun rising over Pendle and I passed 1500km for the year to date. For map lovers that’s like Paris to Rome!

This is a wonderful album, recently managed to get a CD and stick it in my Apple Library so I can listen to it whenever I want. Got loads of their vinyl (well did until the lad nicked it!) I never said I could change the world, I just said that it stinks.

It sounds a lot, but not as many as I wish… closer than I wish. Way closer to 80 than 20!

That’s a really smart thought. I have tried one but the water camel pack swishing around annoyed me so I took it off and carried it! 🤣 I am perhaps being a fool. I’ve got a long list of Marathons to complete yet, at one a year it will take me until I’m over 80 to get through those!

Yeah I’m so torn. I like the idea of Ultras but the reality is I would need maps, compasses, food, changes of clothing in case of poor weather… and that’s not me. I’m a shorts, T-shirt and get on with it kind of bloke! Can’t do that running 60k up and down hills. And I’m clumsy!

Tempted…

Here we go! Six months to go klaxon! So excited to have my next marathon lined up. Continuing the theme of never doing the same run twice, it’s time for Brighton. Bit flatter than my last one.
