All of this! Alastor doesn't seem to want to actually be in charge, ugh, there's a lot of work involved with that! He barely orders around the people whose souls he owns, he dragged Husk and Niffty along with a vague 'bartend & clean'. Alastor is chaos, not control, he just wants to be entertained!

But she did try to call, that is my point. In episode 7, we see her on the phone trying to call him. ‘Dad, pick up, come on!’ She even says he never ignores my calls. She has no idea yet why he isn’t picking up. Their face to face apology being unseen is a writer choice I don’t agree with.

To be fair, he left the hotel and isn’t answering his phone, what else could she do? She didn’t know where he was or that he’d been captured, she was trying to get ahold of him any way she could. I think a lot of people would text an apology first to get them to come back for a face to face apology.
