Spent Saturday evening in the ER at a local hospital. NOT ME; it was my friend who had a bit of health scare. Everything checked out fine. He is home now. It was pretty quiet, which is a good thing for an ER. It's not a Level 1 Trauma. No big actions like on those TV shows.

Sense of entitlement, maybe? I remember we were taught defensive driving. Nowadays, everybody seems to be on the offensive on the roads: cutting off followed by brake-checking, sudden lane changes crossing 5 lanes because they are not paying attention to the Exit, insurance fraud, etc.

A lot of Americans won't even stop or pull over when they see flashing lights approaching. They won't even stop when the STOP arm on a school bus is up with red lights flashing, on non-divided/no-median roads or highways.
