It's almost empty, in case you were wondering.
Stonegate Taverns have absolutely ruined West End House. Is this what you want from this pub, from looking at the outside? American football on TV, shit Pop music, cheap TXMaxx faux baroque shite and ZERO cask lines. If you care about pubs then wake up and kick out these pub killers.
One pub I would have loved to go to in Prague ๐จ๐ฟ Demolished as part of the rail viaduct reconstruction between Florenc and ลฝiลพkov. Oh - and I spy that same pattern in the glass I keep going on about!
Big day for shit beer news: - Marstons Brewery in Burton on Trent closing. - Ostravar Brewery closing, emblem of the city now being brewed at Staropramen in Prague - Kwak owners no longer making the famous highwayman glass The one common thread: big beer corporations takeover, make life worse
There's an old Twitter account that parodied hipster Manchester Northern Quarter openings. This one (Leeds aside) would have slotted in unnoticed.
The former Mr Foleys/Dr O'Kells tavern in Leeds ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ is now a cafรฉ called BRUNCHO.

Managed to find myself at the (official) opening of a new bar (Bok) at the top end of Rue de Flandres, thanks to Martijn. Not fantastically beery but a nice wee place. And they know how to pour Zinnebir correctly!
The genuinely magnificent Pivo ๐จ๐ฟ bars in Malmรถ ๐ธ๐ช are coming to Copenhagen ๐ฉ๐ฐ with the opening later this month! Not often we get to be gushing about what are kinda theme bars, but they really are *that* good. Better than a lot of Czech pubs. ๐ป
The Black Horse, Otley ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ 2nd visit. More like it. Kirkstall Brewery owned revived hotel grandeur with large courtyard I hadn't previously spied. 15% cheaper than the brewery tap. Tells you all you need to know about modern breweries. Despite pics, quite lively inside ๐ป๐
It's not a betrayal to anyone or anything to admit the beer meets the task in certain settings even if it isn't your thing
Guinness is the beer writer and beer chin-strokers terror. The corporate aspect is undefendable, genuinely reprehensible. The beer is at best, mild tasting and creamy. But at its best on a session, it slays. People don't drink tasters, they drink pints.
Just what you want in a pub so old it sells itself on Cromwell's troops stopping off here en route to battle... Please can the country stop employing whoever makes these shitty signs?
Three Swords, Guiseley ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ 1st visit. Beautiful tiled wall by the entrance. Ex-butchers? Other than that and usual pretty Kirkstall breweriana, my god, it's death. Some spaces just don't work. Vertical drinks lockout on tap. Midweek food and a beer deal is ยฃ18. In Guiseley? Good luck with that. ๐
Seems I missed this place in Brno ๐จ๐ฟ
Toฤnรก. It's a second hand clothes store...that pours Kamenice 10ยฐ on draft. Is it a bar? ๐๐ค
