Two asteroids larger than 2km have been found spinning every 5 minutes!

It suggests these ultra-fast rotators must be surprisingly monolithic, 30 times strong than clay.

Hello quantum gravity experts, I am looking for anyone that can comment on this paper for a story I'm writing:

I’ve driven several different EVs, and always find they don’t maintain speed the same way a petrol car does. There’s often constant slight acceleration and deceleration, which naturally makes you feel quick sick.

Okay hear me out - what if a monster neutrino detected off the coast of Sicily came from a primordial black hole inside a fifth dimension that was formed by cosmic strings?

Class this as just a little bit speculative.

Nice to see this story on searching for alien life I originally wrote in 2024 back on the BBC home page today. Still as relevant today as it was back then!

I'm old enough to remember smoking on airplanes as a child. I hated it but they made you do it.

Ooh! Good target to aim for.

@astrojonny.bsky.socialOct 1, 2026, 6:45 AM

I have not been but would love to do so, hopefully one day! I also really want to go see Rubin at some point, if possible.

I read this and thought it was great, particularly the mirror being suspended in a magnetic field, as well as the other pieces in the series. Have enjoyed following them!
