Great writing on a perhaps perfect game. But I think I disagree that Knytt is parodic or reductionist in the way that Flanderisation implies, or in the way that Survivor-likes burrow into a faddish mechanical loop. It's minimalist, but only so as to elevate its aesthetic purpose above the noise.
