Honored that the Museum of the City of New York has chosen me for their 2026 Louis Auchincloss Prize. It’s neat! Come on out next Wednesday - I’ll be chatting with Wesley Morris www.mcny.org/event/2026-l...
Forcing transparency onto the executive branch is one of the most potent tools that the federal courts have to counter executive overreach. But I am not optimistic that this Court will recognize what is at stake here: subversion of judicial power to exec power
QP1 asks about separation-of-powers avoidance and discovery of the Executive Branch, something I wrestle with in this piece papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....
If you care about the functional separation of powers, this seemingly small case about discovery is a case to watch
And when cts subvert judicial power to executive power, there are knock on effects outside of court too. The Executive Branch will use this case in information disputes with Congress to press back further on Article I.
The Court just granted cert in US DOGE Service, which asks whether (1) The COA departed from the separation-of-powers principles in Cheney v. District Court; and (2)Whether a ct can order discovery against an Executive Office advisory body to decide whether FOIA's disclosure requirement's apply.
Guess who was one of the biggest spreaders of that bogus claim about Talarico supposedly disappearing to Ohio?
As @annamerlan.bsky.social reports, "The biggest election disinformation risk in the next few weeks is Elon Musk." www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

@daniellecitron.bsky.social won't link to her own article about this, but I will! Presidential Privacy Violations papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers....
Wrote this in 2015 about then candidate Trump’s revelation of Senator Graham’s unlisted cellphone number www.forbes.com/sites/daniel... Senator Cotton gets same abuse ten years later, link below
Pompeo supported a man who tried to overturn an election and destroy American democracy. This shows what the real threat it. It's not Trump and his authoritarianism; it's the acceptance of it.
Ever grateful to @uvalaw.bsky.social Sloane Lab and DTD Lab for hosting discussion about dark patterns and menopause tech led by @monasloane with @naomicahn.bsky.social Mimi Riley and my sister Dr. Jeanine Morris-Rush and her partner in OB-GYN practice Dr. Hank Prince m.youtube.com/watch?v=DldG...

As I discussed last night with Rachel Maddow, after I published my book, "HOW RUSSIA WON," which exposes Russian disinfo ops aimed at the US to help Trump, the Russians dragged me into a disinfo op attacking Dems in the midterms. See my OUR LAND newsletter:
Jack Smith: “We had proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump committed serious crimes”
Agreed so wholeheartedly—everyone must read @maryannefranks.bsky.social Fearless Speech and everything she writes.
Just helping with editing here. These bots aren’t sentient. They’re doing what they’re programmed to do. OpenAI, a private company supposedly bound by laws, committed federal crimes.
Five cops in Indianapolis were just criminally charged with abusing Flock to spy on their ex-wives, their wives' ex-partners and women they met on duty. Audit was triggered by us at the @washingtonpost.com, the prosecutor said.
