Also mutes take alt text into account. If you mute a word and it shows up in alt text, you won't see that post. I deeply appreciate people who use alt text!

Hi, I’m a sighted alt text user! Here are some reasons I use it: - Slow Internet on an airplane - I’m over 40, I have no idea who that celebrity is - Bluesky broke images again - My vision sucks and that text is too small to read otherwise - Conveys further context and authorial intent

I think being indulgent is a big part of being healthy. People really gotta accept that what they're into matters, and I think being able to cast that out into the world and talk about it amongst peers is a strength unmatched :) I'll start. I need some of y'all using me like a butt towel
