What I *really* want an interviewer to do with these desperate sweaty CEOs is say, "Now that Trump has said he wants you to call it 'Trump Intelligence' instead of 'Super Intelligence', are you planning to update your marketing?" and then don't reveal that you made it up until after they say yes.
A lot of excellent/overlooked 80’s bands continue to tour in some form. The Fixx, Psychedelic Furs, Peter Hook and the Light, The Church, Howard Jones, Crowded House, English Beat, Men w/o Hats, Chameleons, OMD, China Crisis, Heaven 17, Blancmange, and of course the biggies (DM, Cure, DD, Erasure)

This guy graduated from Princeton and later got a masters at the Kennedy School of Govt at Harvard.
(If you aren’t already down this rabbit hole) The Skids split into Big Country and The Armoury Show. You might like Armoury Show too (they sound a bit like Simple Minds). Their album Waiting for the Flood is *fantastic*, if you like their bombastic style.
If you like The Crossing, you might like some of Adam’s earlier band, The Skids. The song “A Woman in Winter” sounds straight out of The Crossing. youtu.be/0sx08Qu1AZM?...
I agree— I’m a big fan of both and I’ve seen them live more than once back in the day. 😊 I grew up on Long Island NY as a high schooler in the 80’s, so these bands and many more were regular staples of radio WLIR 92.7. For example, the indie hits from EATB album you cited, constant rotation.
Yes that Big County album is very deep. Most know those one or two songs from MTV but the album is truly epic.
They didn’t have The English Beat - Just Can’t Stop It, or i’d definitely have that one there. I’d also have about 20 runner-ups, like General Public - All the Rage
Here are some of my faves.
Ok, nine favorite pop albums. They didn’t have some in the catalog but this is a good sampler.
Whether it's Obama telling farmers to plant arugula in Iowa or Donald Trump telling Iranians to take out Los Angeles, both presidents made deeply insensitive statements about regions of the country.
Hawaii enacted a law that could neuter Citizens United. Montana could soon follow suit via a ballot referendum. Here's what you should know about the plans to get Big Money out of politics — and how they could be replicated where you live.
So good
