regarding frauds who speak on behalf of Indigenous peoples at the UN level: "Because the U.N. system relies heavily on NGO credentials and self-identification, it inadvertently creates a pathway to undeserved international legitimacy." This happens in Canada with 'environmental' research grants too

"AI electricity+water usage is no worse than golf courses or the beef industry" - cool, but we should reform or abolish other large-scale energy/water intensive industries, too. Also, last I checked, golf/beef weren't pushing for building out nuclear+gas-powered plants to meet exploding demand...

The through line with white people extractively claiming to be Indigenous for gain in 🇨🇦 is celebrity distorts+overrides our wave-based collective onto-sovereignties. This is why I refuse to reify concept of ‘the one’ speaking ‘for’ a collective. Pretendians and celebrity are two sides of same coin.
