CGI/AI isn't going to go away because there will always be studios and producers wanting the easy/cheap way, but well done practical effects will always be better. Even if they're lightly enhanced by CG, practical effects have more verisimilitude and proper weight to them.

I've got a very strong feeling that eventually (maybe even soon), we're going to see a return to physical models. Somebody will start it as a rebellion against CGI and AI, it will be super popular, win awards, and then everyone will jump on the bandwagon.

Can't hear adagio for strings without remembering that moment.

At $10AUD for a 12ml pot, GW can go get fucked.

And for the rest of our lives <3

So, Mike Flannigan's Carrie. If you've never read the book, you'll probably enjoy it. It's well made, and has a message relevant to today. But it's not Carrie the book. It shares a name and some scenes, but the messages, characterisations and motivations are entirely different.

Awesome-11H. Because the Awesome remains awesome. The Regent. Anything with re-engineered lasers (and I think we'll see a lot more of them in the future). The Kontio, because even though it's a clanscum mech, it's hilariously entertaining when it gets going.

Proud of you <3

Hadn't painted since 2022 thanks to getting Covid and it mushing my brain. Started adhd meds 3weeks ago and have done 3 Halloween paintings 🧙‍♀️🦇👻🕷⚰️🖤🤘

Time to see what all the fuss is about.

The ability to slice pedestrians off at the ankles with your bumper?

Ummm.. you're going to have to tell me. I've got no idea which is which

Well, I love your chibi 'mechs no matter what he says.

BTAS has fans? At the time I can understand, because it was all we had, but even then it was bad compared to its contemporaries. But now? Years after it has been relegated to am in-universe bad propaganda cartoon? And Adam Steiner was a dick even if you liked the cartoon.

Other possibilities are that Omega has changed it's paint scheme with the change to Rasalhague Dominion, or that Camospecs is just wrong. Camospecs are occasionally wrong, or are right based on a couple of lines of text that are later changed when official art is comissioned.

Because the phawk IIC is wearing an orange/brown splinter camo with Omegas blue accents and dots. Obviously the warrior felt the dark grey was too visible on whatever planet he's on, but the blue was fine.

In a universe where Ace Darwin rides a light pink Panther mech, you thought this one was too on the nose? And where there's a whole regiment named after characters from Buckaroo Banzai?

Strange New Worlds forgotten about I see. There was a pretty good Star trek CCG back in the 90's that got killed off by Magic.
