I don't think LLMs are conscious because I know (roughly) how they work and that work doesn't require consciousness, and there's no reason to think consciousness would be an emergent property of the software, any more than it would for, say, Microsoft Word, which no one thinks is conscious.
Your quote is logically correct, but frames 'AI isn't conscious' as the thing that needs proving. The extraordinary claim is that there's software that thinks, and it's up to the people making that claim to define what they mean and explain the mechanism. Hope that clears up your confusion.
I am bound by my oath.
I think we are approaching the point where that is viable
The point of swearing an oath on the book of a text that is of utmost significance to you is it is a sign of your intent and your fidelity. It is a sign of your intent to faithfully uphold your vow. Swearing on the book of something you don't believe in renders that vow meaningless.

Fossil fuels are a satirical fuel
This is doing the rounds, and I’m aware some people may not like the choices Andrew Scott has made. But my goodness. I’ve heard this speech hundreds of times and this may be the first time it’s ever truly hit me. I *felt* his horror at “ay, there's the rub”. Bravo.

100% there is someone in the world who has already taught themselves to read braille using their penis.
This is a really fun way to learn about history.
Here we go again…. Netanyahu spoke to Trump last week about the possibility of resuming the war against Iran. Senior American officials said they were impressed that Netanyahu seemed interested in resuming attacks in Iran before the elections.- Israel's N12 News
Company working towards an IPO and under pressure from much cheaper Chinese and Open Source models ramps up marketing attempts.
“AIs aren’t conscious” is the same claim as "God doesn't exist", with the same logical burden of proof.
I was on the telly.
Beautiful! What an inspiration.
Cheap Chinese and open source LLMs could trigger trillion-dollar AI infrastructure 'reset'
