It's been exactly 5 months since me and @otterlord.dev started this as a prototype, and next week it'll be exactly 4 months since we launched it to you guys. Very happy to get this out to everyone who's been enjoying Colibri. This will be the app you like, with features you love. Look forward to it.

And I'm still on the fkin waitlist. I'm not getting one, am I?

@lou.gg Oct 9, 2026, 11:36 AM

There's a browser extension called librezam, might be worth looking at

@lou.gg Oct 9, 2026, 10:17 AM

wtf? this is stupid on so many levels

@lou.gg Oct 8, 2026, 10:20 PM

It'll be a couple months but I'm so close.... Save me focus medicine... Focus medicine... Please... I got shit to do I got money to burn I got places to be...

@lou.gg Oct 8, 2026, 10:19 PM

Stream place? Yeah I sure hope I will

@lou.gg Oct 8, 2026, 10:17 PM

Literally can't wait to get medication....

@lou.gg Oct 8, 2026, 7:09 AM

I don't think the name sucks, tbh. One of the better if not the best options. I'd just like to know if this is a Bluesky thing or based on the emerging group standards, so I can maybe integrate this into @colibri.social?

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 8:52 PM

For the extension? Probably never. I'll clean up the repo and open source at some point, maybe people can contribute them at that point

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 8:16 PM

If you ever have the time we should collab on this!

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 5:59 PM

Okay so I just now realized that chat bubbles are their own thing and not a notification. Yeah I can look into it, but no promises

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 4:51 PM

I've got a mobile companion planned, would a web -based version be fine (PWA / in browser)? Or do you want a full app? The STT thing is definitely possible

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 4:49 PM

It's in my backlog. I'll revisit this on a more serious note when I manage to find the time! So someone else, feel free to take this up and lmk if you need smol bits of help

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 2:17 PM

And here ya go!

@lou.gg Oct 7, 2026, 2:17 PM

Shout-out to aturi.to, which I only learned about after getting halfway into the build! It's probably a lot more sophisticated. I just had a lot of fun with this.

(Last stop of the launch train, at least for now.)

FastTravel is a browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, and (soon) Safari that rewrites links for Bluesky clients and standard.site articles & platforms to the one you prefer using.

If you're an avid #atproto user, the talented @lou.gg has set up a sort of AT Protocol census called @where-were.at

Everyone who fills it out will unlock a Fun Balloon for their character, next time they login to their rpg.actor profile.

Feel free to let 'em know your fave app. 😉

Somehow this has been the most convincing thing for me to add custom emojis to @colibri.social yet.

Shit. I've been nerdsniped
