My grandmother is 80 years old. She was born several months after VE Day. This "generation" is now TINY.
Wow! #ShareGoodNewsToo
Absolutely tremendous news. Long live the PCC!
I still love Bake Off, but they really have to rethink the technical challenges. If every single one of these talented amateur bakers cocks it up in the exact same way, that very much suggests the flaw is in the challenge rather than the contestants. #GBBO
Absolutely unreal performance from the lads tonight. Now that's a result showing how much we deserve to be here. Bobby Thomas was simply immense. #PUSB
Solidarity with anyone struggling on this #WorldMentalHealthDay. It will get better. 🩷
I love Richard Ayoade, but I have to confess that I'm struggling with him on #Taskmaster. Not the right show for his shtick at all. www.voicemag.uk/blog/16948/r...
Just when I don't think America can be grotesque enough to surprise me any more.
This is a wonderfully passive-aggressive Christmas response at Christmas from Aberdeen Council to the annual Christmas "someone's trying to take away the word Christmas" Christmas scandal. 🎅
Really excited to get the takes from all of the politicians who were so exercised about this a few months back. What do they think of puffin over kingfisher? Was the seal snubbed? Why did the British public pick bumblebees and dragonflies over a badass shark?
I don't really have a hot take to add to the #Digger discourse. Though I do think it's weird for a movie to have a mid-story trick that works so clearly against everything that comes before and after.
Watching Inside Out while having a tough mental health week means I've spent the last two hours in tears. BUT it also means I've made the first change to my Letterboxd top four in a long time.
Just watched the Saipan movie and I feel like it's another Wikipedia page of a film. This seems to be becoming more prevalent.
I returned to the pages of The Guardian for this piece looking at the strange decision to submit #ObsessionMovie as a musical/comedy at the #GoldenGlobes. www.theguardian.com/film/2026/oc...
Ross Kemp whenever someone breathes near him. #CelebrityTraitors
#AEW star Pac's death is sudden, shocking, and tragic. I wrote some words about a British wrestling legend. www.voicemag.uk/blog/16911/p...
Zach Cregger obviously had a blast doing #ResidentEvil and I had a blast watching it. It's as narratively lightweight as possible, but packed with icky effects and absurd gore that I couldn't help but love.
My overriding feeling after watching Pressure (which is completely fine) was that it's very British to make a war movie entirely about the weather. ⛈️
Really enjoyed being thoroughly wrong footed by #BadApples. And Saoirse Ronan simply does not do bad performances.
Just had an invoice paid within four minutes. Freelance life is full of surprises.
