I hope they're helpful and actually listen to you 🫰

(Granted I'm autistic as hell and from a reverse formality culture and just don't give a fuck about the song and dance of it all so I may not be the most sensible person to give advice, but I did get a senior role as an immigrant off a comically small amount of relative experience so who knows!)

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 12:51 AM

The way I see it you're either meeting your new coworkers that day or you're not, so all that advice about going crazy with prep and making a good first impression is not really helpful/sustainable if it's not who you are usually

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialOct 8, 2026, 12:48 AM

Yeah, ultimately even if they're not going to be direct coworkers they're at least going to be colleagues, so if you do get the job chances are you're going to be talking to them semi-regularly anyway, so as strange as it sounds anxiety is kind of pointless?

like do take what i'm saying with a pinch of salt cause i mostly interview for office-based roles which are a wildly different ballgame to retail and the like, but the way i see it, if they're going to be stuck with me long term they might as well know what i'm like from the get-go, yknow?

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialOct 6, 2026, 11:00 PM

ymmv depending on the business but the thing that worked best for me was just like. treating them as if they were already coworkers. making them laugh, being friendly and casual (in a professional sense), giving them an idea of your soft skills and what you'd be like to be around on a daily basis

Honestly this would go so hard. Subtle details like that are SO good in horror games.

The shape of the eyes is the most noticeable thing for me. These ones are larger and angrier-looking while the previous ones had more of a worried/stressed look to them (which feels like an essential part of Kel's character to me lol)

can't upload anything to this fuckass website without it coming out as a black rectangle atm so i guess you guys are just gonna have to wait for the latest piece 😑

If you need someone to talk to, my DMs are open. I transitioned back in 2013 so my knowledge of the process is a bit dated, but I'm happy to be a sounding board for things.

Ayy congrats on the launch!

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialSep 2, 2026, 11:30 PM

Sounds pretty fun, I could give it a crack if you like? I'm good on shirts but I'll happily take stickers :^)

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialSep 2, 2026, 12:35 AM

They look so cute together 💜

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialAug 31, 2026, 11:18 PM

ough, that sucks, i'm sorry man. sending you good luck vibes for finding something better soon 🤞

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialAug 28, 2026, 11:16 PM

unfortunately like most everything to do with the US they're so broken and dysfunctional at a federal level that changing anything at a country-wide level is impossible and canada just has to coddle them cause they're one of the biggest trade partners and industries are shared :/

@troubledpasta.bsky.socialAug 28, 2026, 1:05 AM

There's no ISO in Canada or the US (despite LITERALLY every other country using it) so everything is a shitshow. The most common frame sizes I've seen is 8.5x11, 16x24 and 24x36, beyond that trying to get anything framed is a futile effort (I can't even get a fuckin A4 document binder. It's so dire)

I know at least personally if I can see price lists from further away I'm more likely to consider if that's in budget and then approach (it feels awkward to see something of interest and then realise its out of budget once you're at the table) so maybe that'd be a place to start :^)

My thought would be to look at it from the distance that foot traffic is usually at at cons (it's usually a few metres away ime?) to see if your signage is readable at that distance, and maybe even squint a little to see if you can see it at all.

POV: You're on a job playing bodyguard for your boyfriend while he infiltrates a corporate gala and he's grumbling about how much he hates wearing a tie when someone crashes the party in a spectacular fashion and ruins his ENTIRE plan

A sleek looking elf in formalwear illuminated by a large LED display. The display is coated in arterial blood spray and glitching at the bottom. The elf is looking off camera at whatever caused the source of the blood with a disgusted scowl.
