You shouldn’t have to pay for AI data centers. The Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act will hold data centers accountable for their grid costs and lower utility bills for families.

Great news for New Mexico producers and something I was proud to fight for when I served as the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee Chair. Because the best way we can bring meat prices down is by giving the monopoly meat packers some competition.

When we talk about public safety, that has to include supporting survivors. If you need support, it's available 24/7. For NM-specific resources, visit NMCADV.org.

And this DVAM, I want to especially thank the advocates and health care providers who serve survivors in New Mexico.

A poster for The National Domestic Violence Hotline provides contact options: a phone icon with 1-800-799-7233 for calling, speech bubbles stating "Text 'START' to 88788," and a globe icon with the website thehotline.org. Additional numbers include StrongHearts, National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline, and The Deaf Hotline.

Data center owners should pay for their electricity and any grid upgrades–not you. Our new permitting reform bill makes that mandatory.

If we want cheaper energy, we need permitting reform. If we want to force data centers to pay their fair share and then some, we need permitting reform. And all of that reform is in our Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act. Let’s get this done.

New Mexico has shown that when we make healthy school meals available to every student, we give kids a better chance to focus, learn and succeed. Now I want every kid in America to have the healthy food they need to help them learn and thrive.

Congratulations to Erik Chavarria from Career Technical Education Center of Hobbs. He's the $75K winner of the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence. He's teaching the next generation valuable skills and setting them up for the future. You’ve made your students and NM proud.

New Mexico farmers and ranchers — talk to your local NRCS office for resources available to you after this week's flooding. Outside of crop insurance, there are programs that can help producers with structural damage. Take photos now and again once water recedes.

The American people simply cannot take anymore of Trump's "winning."

Trucking companies are struggling to stay afloat. As Trump's illegal war with Iran continues to drive up diesel prices, truckers are losing their jobs and your groceries are getting more expensive.

The Ratepayer Protection Act is exactly what Congress is known for: all message and no substance. I want Congress to pass legislation with real teeth. Until then, I’m a NO on this bill.

Good news, folks, we just passed the Albuquerque Indian School Act through the Senate. Thank you to @repstansbury.bsky.social and the entire NM delegation for helping us get this far.

Let's get this across the finish line and deliver for the pueblos and everyone who calls New Mexico home.

I love raw oysters and I love ice cream. But together? Hell NO!!! That’s what the administration is considering here. You can’t build a ballpark in Grand Teton National Park. It’s just wrong.

Happy birthday to my love. I couldn’t ask for a better partner for all of life’s adventures.

Enjoyed talking to New Mexicans about everything from education to health care to our public lands at my Constituent Coffee this week. It's hearing from New Mexicans about the issues that matter to them that helps me best fight for our state in D.C.

@heinrich.senate.govSep 26, 2026, 9:47 PM

We are talking about major changes to how America builds energy and infrastructure. Getting that right has to matter more than election-year deadlines.

@heinrich.senate.govSep 26, 2026, 5:51 PM

Our public lands are our shared inheritance, and we can make sure they are also our shared legacy. Let’s keep fighting together to protect our public lands. Happy National Public Lands Day!

We are very lucky that this failure occurred during unmanned testing. But we cannot leave the safety of workers up to luck. These types of critical failures need to be addressed proactively and transparently with workers.

New Mexico is home to America's first designated wilderness area, the Gila Wilderness. This National Wilderness Week, let's remember that appreciation for our public lands is something that unifies all Americans and that our wilderness areas are worth protecting.
