Tomorrow is the start of Hate Crime Awareness Week. To mark the event, on Monday we'll be publishing our new research which highlights fundamental flaws in the way hate crimes and other unwanted behaviours on public transport are reported. Keep an eye out for more info next week...

A crowded tube carriage with many passengers standing and sitting. A message on top from London TravelWatch reads: "New research shows that victims of crime on public transport are being failed by the reporting journey."

Good to see Lime investing in dedicated e-bike parking across London 🚲

Nearly £1m awarded to boroughs to support almost 600 new or improved parking bays

A welcome step towards better parking and clearer pavements, helping everyone get around ✅ #lime #limebike

There is currently no step-free access at Canary Wharf Tube station due to lift repair work. The station will stay like this until mid-December 🚇 🛗 🚫

TfL recommends passengers that need step-free access to use the DLR instead

As always, do check before you travel #stepfree #accessibility

Who makes history? The people whose names fill the history books and the people whose names never make the pages. This Black History Month, we celebrate the Black Londoners whose contributions are woven into the story of our city. Black history is London’s history.

Great news! This is something we called for alongside other stakeholders, so it's good to see the transport operators working together to make this happen. We look forward to more Elizabeth line stations being made fully step-free with the addition of level boarding in due course.

We welcome this news. Dockless e-bikes often being carelessly dumped in the streets and blocking pavements causes a issues for pedestrians, particularly wheelchair users, people with buggies and those with visual impairments.

An informational map diagram published by Transport for London and the Mayor of London in September 2026, showing the proposed route for the West London Orbital rail service. The route is a vertical line with station markers. From the north, the line starts at Hendon and Brent Cross West, both offering National Rail connections to Luton. It goes south to Neasden (new station, Jubilee line link) and Harlesden (new station, Lioness and Bakerloo line links). It reaches Old Oak Common Lane, a new station with major interchanges to Heathrow Express, HS2, the Central line, and the Elizabeth line. Continuing south, it stops at Acton Central and South Acton (both linking to the Mildmay line), followed by Lionel Road (new station, Kew Bridge link). The southern section goes through National Rail stations at Brentford, Syon Lane, and Isleworth, ending at Hounslow. Official TfL, Overground, and Mayor of London logos sit at the bottom.
