You might be hearing a lot of deeply concerning things about how Donald Trump is trying to make it harder for eligible voters to exercise their constitutional rights this November. I won’t sugar-coat it: this is a very scary moment for our democracy, but we are not giving up the fight.

I’m proud to have the support of our nurses, who are the backbone of the health care system. Together, we will fight for a system that prioritizes care for everyone and always puts people over profits.

Thank you Committee to Protect Health Care for your support in this race! I have fought to ensure Nevadans can access affordable, quality health care, including access to paid family leave, so they can actually get the care they need without leading to financial disaster.

Join us next weekend for our weekly canvass launches. We are just two weeks from early voting and less than a month until the election. Every door we knock and every conversation we have helps us get one step closer to a brighter Nevada.

We are fired up and ready to knock on doors! Together, @katemarshallnv.bsky.social and I are working for a brighter Nevada. And that starts with electing leaders who will actually listen to the community and fight for working people!

These are not the actions of a democratic government with rights for every citizen. This surveillance state comes straight out of a dystopian dictatorship and has no place in the United States of America.

Thank you, Humane World Action Fund, for standing by me. Together we are going to build a brighter and kinder Nevada for all, even our furry community members!

I am fighting to restore the dignity of work, where everyone who is willing to work hard will be able to afford food to eat, a place to live, and a secure retirement.

For years, the rich have continued to get richer while middle-class families are increasingly struggling to afford housing, food, childcare, and retirement. That is not how it’s supposed to be.

I have always been a fierce advocate for unionization, and I continue to push for increased collective bargaining rights in Nevada.

As a history teacher, I know the backbone of the middle class has always been strong unions fighting for the rights of our workers. When I began in the Washoe County School District, the first thing I did was join our teachers’ union, and I have been an active member ever since.

It's up to us as Nevada leaders to ensure there are clear protections and plain disclosures for all uses of AI by our government. I will continue to push to make this a reality.

These disclosures are something that all local governments can and should do right now. Our governor could require the same of our state agencies, but so far hasn't done anything to make sure Nevadans are served by humans and not chatbots.

As these uses become more common, the public deserves transparency on how AI is being used, what data it is accessing, and what recourse is available when AI makes errors.

This is not hypothetical: Nevada state agencies and local governments have already begun to use AI for a variety of things, from answering questions to processing unemployment claims.

Imagine you called a state government agency during a challenging life moment, looking for help or just to ask a simple question, and instead of a knowledgeable and empathetic state employee, you got an AI chatbot.

Join Kate Marshall and me for our second joint canvass and help us put people over profit this November! We will meet at 1 pm on Saturday, October 3rd. Once you sign up, you’ll get an email with the location.
