Wishing all of my Canadian friends a happy Thanksgiving weekend!

@msbonnielynne.bsky.socialOct 7, 2026, 7:25 PM

Right? The day we got there, a friend took us to this local food market / court type place in some town in CA where EVERYTHING was Mexican- not a word of English on the menus or even really spoken at any of the 8 or so stands. Had to rely heavily on our friend, but the food was AMAZING!

Sometimes it isn’t about fate. It’s about choosing to lean in. Choosing each other. Not because the universe has perfectly aligned everything around you, but simply because you like this person, you like being around them, and you want to see where that choice takes you.

But maybe that’s not how love actually works. Sometimes life is messy. Sometimes circumstances are inconvenient. Sometimes two people have plenty of reasons why it shouldn’t work—and still genuinely like each other and enjoy being together

But I think the show’s biggest message is about our obsession with “fate” and “destiny.” We’re often taught to believe that if something is difficult, or life isn’t perfectly aligned, it must mean “this isn’t meant to be.”

That’s what makes Colin From Accounts feel so different to me. It understands that relationships don’t exist in a vacuum. Friends, family, work, past experiences and our own insecurities all come along for the ride

@msbonnielynne.bsky.socialOct 7, 2026, 7:20 PM

Instead, we get two people who feel like actual people. Ashley and Gordon have real flaws, real baggage and real challenges in their relationship. And their individual and collective support circles genuinely influence how that relationship develops

What I especially loved is that we aren’t force-fed some cookie-cutter, gushy romance. At the same time, the show doesn’t fall into the familiar “mismatched couple” tropes that so many romantic comedies rely on

@msbonnielynne.bsky.socialOct 7, 2026, 7:20 PM

Harriet Dyer and Patrick Brammall put SO much into Ashley and Gordon. And whatever chemistry they have in real life clearly translates to the screen. Their relationship feels natural in a way that so many TV romances simply don’t

Now that I’ve finished Colin From Accounts, I can finally give it my complete review. There may have been an element or two I didn’t care for, but overall? I absolutely loved this show. I genuinely think it belongs in my Top 10 shows of the last 10 years. #TVSky

Locktober Day 2 FLR Post: One benefit of a female-led relationship (FLR) is that negotiating rules together builds a habit of honest, specific communication. By clearly expressing needs, boundaries, and expectations, couples strengthen trust and deepen their connection. 💬❤️

Not sure how much some of these actually "shaped" me, but they still had an impact

Pretty sure I had an Indiana Jones movie poster and a muppets poster too

In all my years of going to Disney, I never got on that boat 😼

Oh yeah, the parks are petri dishes unfortunately with all the commonly shared surfaces. We've been DVC owners for 12 years, and usually go once a year. More times than not at least one of us has gotten at least a cold during the vacation.

There is a last, best place. A last best nerve. This is it.

Good boy dedicating a day to rest! I should have been doing that this week after catching covid at Disneyland. I have been working from home which helps, but I should have just taken a day or two off

Oh, that's quick! Even better.
