mourning the 200+ year old grandmother cottonwoods (& countless century old saguaro cacti) killed by US border patrol today in Arizona. All violence is connected, the people who are doing this have hollows where their hearts should be, and my heart is aching for my home

This is madness. A 71 day protest, 10 arrest, border patrol assault against peaceful protesters. The felling of ancient trees. It makes me sick. There was no warrant presented. The tree was on private property. The video of the tree falling is filled with grief stricken screams.
