I will never shut up about this show

Warehouse 13 is such a beautifully dumb show. I love the episode where they have to explore Ms Fredrick’s memories to find out why a company called “A to Z Technologies” is out to get them and it turns out it’s because she ruined the baseball career of a kid who played for a team called the Aztecs.

Wow that guy in the tiara is a great Alex Jones impersonator! Almost tricked me into thinking Jones had not spontaneously exploded in his car a few months ago.

It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.

What democrats still don’t seem to have figured out is that you don’t win elections by carefully focus testing your platform to represent exactly 51% of the vote, you do it by telling the public what you care about and why they should care too. Republicans are evil but they’re really good at this!

If I’m some low-info dipshit voter and I see two candidates, one of whom is being dominant about his convictions and the other of whom is wringing his hands and apologizing for not agreeing with his opponent hard enough, I’m not voting for the latter even if his position is closer to mine!

The thing that drives me nuts is not only is this depraved, it’s also not even a good strategic move! When democrats pivot cede this, they’re letting republicans set the boundaries of political discourse! The reason anyone cares about trans kids playing sports is that republicans made them care!

Eliza Yudkowsky I assume, influential guy in AI “alignment” circles and also the author of Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality, a treatise on the odd internet subculture called Rationalism presented in the form of a Harry Potter fanfic
