especially when they're all involved (coughcough fisting coughcough), i try to use a phrase like "knuckle ridge" in the hopes that that differentiates them, since they're all connected. i think i might have referred to B as the middle knuckle lmao

i mean A, but knowing that the potential for confusion exists, i *try* to make it extra clear through context/blocking that it's the knuckle closest to the fingertips. and when I'm referring to [the knuckles where the fingers connect to the hand, like, the punching knuckles?],
