don't think i've posted any of my jameppy sketches!! here you go!!!! we need more jameppy in this world
all your replacement suggestions suck and sound juvenile i don't actually care about replacing this bit of language. this was the setup for a joke
i fucking hate layering are you kidding me. if i have to touch more than one type of fabric on my chest i get uncomfortable
oh i mean, i've seen lots of videos about the movie for ages, i just haven't watched it myself
i don't WANT to win the ~oppression olympics~ i don't WANT to be the most oppressed and im far from the most oppressed anyways. the end goal of getting you to recognize that TME/TMA is an axis of oppression that you benefit from is so you don't keep blithely killing us with no awareness
religious and spiritualist cultures, largely, can not conceptualize of an areligious life as a complete one. there should really be a better word for "i do not believe in things that aren't real" than atheist i think
maybe i should watch god's not dead. maybe i actually have an interesting perspective on it
But if you're coming from a culture where christianity IS the default and not a slowly shrinking minority and atheism is a radical stance i can see why you'd grow up thinking things that aren't real are a necessary part of life, even if you shed the christian aesthetic for healing crystals
and not just never having been religious, but never having been pressured to partake in religion. becoming christian has literally never been on my mind. spirituality has never been on my mind. culturally speaking, these things don't parse to me at all
I've was confronted with any of this in my life until i started spending time on the internet. I kind of assume there's just this pervasive culturally christian sentiment in the USA that can't make room for the idea of someone not just not being religious, but never having been in the first place
but people don't generally conceive of atheism and aspirituality this way, they think of it as an active choice someone made one day, and they still have this christian holdover that everyone needs to be "saved" by magical thinking
