I haven't checked this years, but I think the checklist normally gets finalized sometime in June

I'm so happy that 2026 Topps Update memorializes the three games that Andy Ibáñez appeared in for the Mets

Hm, that could be the case. There are a couple of cards from the 1970s where I suspect the images got airbrushed twice

Oh, shoot... I missed the pinstripes, I thought it was a badly airbrushed Orioles jersey from the mid 60s when they had "Orioles" in block letters

OTD in 1968 the American League held an expansion draft to populate the rosters of the Kansas City Royals and Seattle Pilots. With their first picks, the Royals drafted P Roger Nelson from the Orioles and the Pilots drafted 1B Don Mincher from the Angels

FYI, I think I'm going to also do a "Bronze Medal" series between the Astros and Red Sox... just because I can 🙂

He is always gasoline on a fire for me

I'm pretty sure I have 1987 Fleer doubles, I'll see if I've got anything you need

The World Series begins in New York on 10/18 with the Mets facing off against the Angels. Reminder: the designated hitter is used only in American League ballparks (games 3 - 5). It's expected that the starting pitchers will be Mike Witt and Ron Darling.

There were several Mets who could've been named the series MVP, but the honor went to Darryl Strawberry who hit 2 homers (including a walk-off), scored 4 runs and batted in 3.

Nolan Ryan got off to a rough start, allowing homers by Carter and Strawberry, a Dykstra double, a single and 2 walks all in the first inning, as the Mets scored 4 runs in that first frame and never looked back. The 3 run margin of victory was the highest for this series

Same goes for “Munster Go Home”

The Munsters look wrong in color

No smurfing way 😀

At first glance I thought they were looking at a microfiche reader
