Premise: When a group of incomparable warriors goes missing, the likeliest explanation is they were betrayed. The quest to find the traitor will lead the survivors through discord, then war. Then terrifying truths about their history and their powers that tear down everything they believed about themselves.

The Basics: A society of warrior-mages sworn to serve all peoples, forbidden love, family, even independent thought. They're used to thinking of themselves as invulnerable, not to mention heroes, but when one of their own turns on them and sets the continent ablaze, all bets are off. Each of them has to decide for themselves what they want and how they'll stay alive to get it.

Elements: convoluted intrigue/ ubiquitous, immersive sensory magic/ new heroes-in-training + their jaded, ancient mentors/ shatter reality/ emotion is forbidden/ swordplay/ history is a lie.
