CAUTION - BUS IS TURNING
They’re really just going to intomb this century old entrance inside a brand new building for probably another century to come, ha?
I have gotten so many spam messages from various polling things. Who the hell answers these!?
That's what I'm afraid of. If the vasty majority of airlines use Starlink for connectivity, what happens if/when Musk gets bored and quadruples pricing and airlines can't afford it. I can't imagine airlines have much protection against that.
not nearly, no. and Air Canada is likely also going Starlink
I don’t know how any other provider of in-flight Wi-Fi survives in this new reality. Starlink is hoovering up almost every opportunity outside of China and India. All that’s left is scraps probably not sufficient enough to sustain a business. This worries me quite a bit.
Five months ago American announced it'd bring Starlink to 500+ Airbus narrowbody aircraft. Today AA has announced that it'll bring Starlink to its *entire fleet* of 1000+ aircraft, with installing beginning in early 2027. A long overdue shift since its widebody connectivity is basically dead today.
